I bought myself some fancy new crayons!
Ok, so the packet calls them "water-soluble wax pastels", but they're just fancy crayons really.
And they are real fancy. Very nice.
You can get some beautiful textures with them, lay them down thin and turn them into a wash, or thick and water transforms them into a smooth paint-like surface. And, as a crayon-type material, you can tell that they're good quality. Smooth.
They work just like watercolour-pencils, but are crayons, and because you can lay them on thick the colours can be much stronger and more opaque than the pencils.
At £8.50 a box of 10 crayons they seem a little expensive, but
