Description
Designed for a collaborative tarot deck based on the mythology of the Norse Jotun (Giants). This is Mani, pictured on the Moon card.
Rendered in water-mixable oil paints this and the sun card were the first paintings I've done using layers of paint on canvas. They took about 5 months to complete from the initial design stages through to sending in for inclusion in the set.
In this picture I particularly like the shape of the dogs and the contrast between the light and dark.
